Job summary
You will be working directly to support the Director and their senior management team in this key role and will gain an excellent insight into how the directorate operates at a senior level.
You will be part of a growing team of Digital, Data and Technology professionals that are delivering solutions that save and improve lives.
Your previous knowledge, skills and expertise will enable you to work independently to exercise your initiative and discretion in developing the role.
The support you will give to the Director and our key internal and external stakeholders across the NHS will allow valuable interactions and initiatives to take place at the right time.
Main duties of the job
You will be part of a growing team of Digital, Data and Technology professionals that are delivering solutions that save and improve lives.
You will provide a comprehensive Executive Assistant service to the Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO), acting as a channel of communication between the CDIO and Assistant Director(s) you are working for and other internal and external contacts.
You will ensure the smooth and efficient running of the CDIOs office on their behalf enabling their trust and confidence in the timely prioritisation and action of all administrative and associated duties.
You will arrange meetings (virtual and physical), produce agenda, take minutes and proactively chase progress on actions and updates.
You will take the lead on arranging regular senior management team and all staff meetings, ensuring that we have a forward plan of engaging content and meetings run smoothly.
You will get involved in small projects that require you to set up and administer Microsoft Teams sites and use Microsoft Office to produce presentations, plans and spreadsheets.
You will support and deputise for other secretarial and administrative staff as and when required.
On occasions you will be required to travel to other NHSBT and external sites, sometimes requiring overnight stays. Appropriate notice will be given.
