Job summary

You're joining NHS Blood & Transplant at an exciting time as we're rolling out new strategies to upgrade and maintain our tech, helping the entire organization. You'll make sure the key applications for organ and tissue donation and transplantation work smoothly and meet user needs, while building strong relationships with those users. The OTDT product centre is also creating a new system to support living donations, replacing the current paper-based process. This change will help increase the number of transplants identified by the UK Living Kidney Sharing Scheme. As a User Acceptance Test Analyst, you'll be crucial in ensuring this new system is safe and effective. Please note, this post is currently based at the NHSBT Stoke Gifford centre, and will to be moving to the NHSBT Filton centre in November 2024.

Main duties of the job

In this role you will contribute to saving and improving lives by meeting patients needs for organs, blood, components, tissues, and related services by: Ensuring any enhancements to existing software, or newly onboarded applications, meet the needs of NHSBT colleagues and external users. Developing strong relationships with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from across Organ and Tissue Donation and Transplantation (OTDT). Using Business processes and acceptance criteria to produce scenarios and derive test scripts that ensure enhanced or new functionality is fit for business purpose Ensuring test scripts, processes and procedures are kept up-to-date to deliver quality assurance. Promoting and maintaining software user acceptance testing best practice. You will be required to travel and spend time away from base, which will involve working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior notice.

  • Degree level qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent relevant experience]
