Job summary

You will play an integral role in supporting our people to save and improve more lives. Main duties of the job

Your responsibilites will include: Setting the direction for the team as well as Directorates, ensuring there is a clear scope for the work, prioritise and align resources to deliver the D&I agenda. You will ensure that appropriate expertise is drawn upon where needed. Ensuring that links are made with the context of the wider health system, and across the organisation. Providing leadership in applying structured problem-solving techniques, ensure that sound conclusions are drawn, and that a wider range of options are considered and prioritised. Overseeing large D&I programmes of delivery across the organisation, ensuring specific workstreams and priorities are delivered on time and on target Working with senior management teams and staff networks, and trade unions to build consensus on our long term strategic priorities and ambition Lead and manage complex change, engaging, empowering and motivating people to contribute and support delivery

  • Educated to Masters or equivalent experience in a relevant area such as diversity and inclusion, plus additional senior-management experience in a related function
  • Postgraduate study in leadership and management OR equivalent relevant experience at a senior level
  • Demonstrate commitment to own Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

  • Significant leadership and management experience in the field of diversity and inclusion
  • Experience of strategic planning and delivery of complex diversity and inclusion programmes
  • Experience of implementing business and organisational change
