Job summary
This role is an exciting opportunity which has come about due to the increasing workload supporting Blood Supply team. You will undertake a full induction and training programme and receive ongoing development to support you in your role and achieving your career ambitions. You will work as a member of a small proactive team that will make a real contribution to saving costs for NHSBT and have a major impact on the working lives of blood collection teams. It will be a great opportunity to work with other Public Sector organisations and help build lasting relationships. Your days will be varied, and you will interact with all areas of the Blood supply chain to minimise any issues associated with collection equipment. The role is a great opportunity for anyone with collection team background who wants to further develop their career and to work within a close-knit team involved in delivering savings and improved processes for Blood Supply.
Main duties of the job
You will be required to support the Equipment Hub Manager with the running of the Equipment Hub, receiving delivery of assets, preparing and sending assets to blood collection teams, either as part of routine maintenance or ad hoc requirements. Your responsibilities will involve :- Preparing and managing a programme of maintenance, calibration and repair of collection team equipment Managing documentation and quality records relating to collection team equipment Managing the return of faulty equipment and dispatch of replacements to collection teams You will be responsible for co-ordinating all requests for Equipment and ensure timely distribution to appropriate recipients. You will provide administrative support to the Equipment Hub Function You will be responsible for ensuring accurate records are maintained of Blood Donation equipment and that all equipment is maintained in line with NHSBT and MHRA regulations You will be responsible for coordinating site visits from contracting engineers to ensure a consistent supply of available equipment is maintained, ensuring all records are up to date and accurate. Receiving and making telephone calls Undertaking routine correspondence Maintaining manual and electronic filing systems General office duties for example photocopying and scanning documents. You will be required to undertake occasional travel to any NHSBT sites to meet the requirements of the post (notice will be given).
