Job summary
We are currently seeking a part time enthusiastic, diligent Quality Officer to join our Team at our NHSBT Filton centre. This is a hands-on administrative role within the Quality function. Youll be working within the QA Direct team on Quality Management System activities of all shapes and sizes, providing local and national business area support. Our purpose is to provide independent advice, guidance, and support on all Quality Management System matters, enabling NHSBT to achieve quality excellence. Being part of a close-knit team means youll be involved from start to finish, allowing you to quickly learn and develop your skills in areas of NHSBTs QMS, all relevant regulations and standards across blood, tissues and organs, and medicinal products. These roles provide face to face support at a local site level at our Filton |Centre, but we also support NHSBT personnel on a remote national basis. QA Direct can facilitate hybrid working with the expectation of a minimum of 1 day working on a site detailed in this ad. The ideal candidate will work 09:00 17:00 either Monday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).
Main duties of the job
You will assist the Quality Assurance Manager in the smooth running of the Quality Assurance Department, including team briefings, training, planning and prioritising workload of the team. You will be responsible for assisting in the licensing and accreditation activities by liaison with all departments, providing advice and training in the NHSBT quality management systems. You will assist in the management of an incident reporting system, and a complaints handling system, by engaging with both internal and external stakeholders. You will be a key contact within the Quality Assurance team offering support and advice on routine day to day activities and future direction and change within a project environment. You will help to drive forward change within the organisation through participation in continual improvement activities and conducting a programme of internal audits. To support activities some travel throughout the UK and spending some time away from base, which may involve working irregular hours and occasional overnight stays may be required, this will be with prior notice.
