Job summary

We have 3 positions; 1x position based in Colindale 1x position is based in Manchester and 1x position in Filton. Please specify your preferred position. This is a brand-new role which is critical to our future success in collecting Plasma donations. You will help save and improve lives as you lead on Plasma Supply Performance and Efficiency in Plasma for Medicines including supporting the design and lead on the implementation of supply chain process changes to support maximisation of Plasma performance delivery You will Represent Plasma on local site and at times Nationally cross-directorate groups and project teams, reporting progress as required, managing and co-ordinate the actions across the wider Blood Supply Operations team that will ensure Plasma performance delivery against plan. Main duties of the job

The smooth running of relevant supply chain operations involved in the safe provision of Plasma for Medicines (PFM) to allow NHSBTs Plasma Directorate to fulfil its overarching obligations to supply PFM to meet agreed contractual performance targets Acting as local lead, subject matter expert and representative for Manufacturing, Testing, Hospital Services and other site functions on the implementation of PFM objectives across the Operational supply chain. Supporting Plasma Supply Performance and Efficiency Leads and operational colleagues on other sites as required Jointly / collectively responsibility with other Plasma Supply Performance and Efficiency Leads to provide first-line support / escalation pathway to the NHSBT Plasma Supply Cell Contributing to the design and development of the Plasma strategy for PFM, collaboratively agreeing actions to engage the wider Blood Supply Operations Team. This will involve working with the Head of Plasma Supply Operations, the Senior Blood Supply Operation team and other Plasma Project or Change Owners , Using Continuous Improvement tools, techniques and methodologies across Blood Supply Operations to drive change that will deliver NHSBTs Strategic aims. Maintaining a thorough working knowledge of practices, procurement, licensing, regulatory requirements, and quality in all areas associated with PFM to ensure any risks and impacts associated with the knowledge of practices are highlighted to the Directorate
