Job summary
You will be working directly to support the Donor Experience department in this key role for Plasma within NHSBT. Your previous knowledge, skills and expertise will enable you to develop and deliver local relationships centred on saving and improving lives. These will lead to activities that help to drive plasma registrations. In addition to this you will also work independently to exercise your initiative and discretion in developing the role and the support to the department lead and our key internal and external stakeholders across the NHS. Working within the Donor Experience directorate, youll have the opportunity to engage with a diverse range of people to drive performance. With a focus on building capability, theyll be plenty of opportunities to develop your skills and receive coaching from the department lead and wider team. Using your organisational skills, youll make sure that NHSBT is an inclusive place to work for others.
Main duties of the job
In this role you will be responsible for growing the plasma donor base through engagement with local businesses, communities and institutions. This will help NHSBT to ensure that we have the right volume and mix of donors to meet patients needs, today and in the future. Your responsibilities will include: Creating and delivering local plans that are focused on growing the donor base of their Donor Centre. Undertaking a mapping exercise of opportunities followed by process of selecting the best options in line with delivering the intended outputs. Working closely with relevant colleagues to ensure that contact with partners and stakeholders is managed consistently and effectively. Working closely with the marketing campaigns team to ensure that opportunities for campaign activity identified through partnerships is effectively progressed. Delivering and contributing to the overall directorate plasma targets, providing regular updates to management. Supporting other regional and national team members in the delivery of projects You will be required to travel and spend time away from base, which will involve working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior notice
