Job summary
Job Summary You will play an integral role in supporting our people to save and improve more lives. This is a great opportunity for a passionate individual with the skills and experience to be the Head of Insight and Improvements. This role will be responsible for 4 key areas; Strategic Workforce Planning, Workforce Insights developed through data and analytics, Systems and Technology supporting HR action and Increasing employee experience through HR processes and information improvement. The role will have responsibility for leading the development and design of NHSBTs strategic workforce planning policy and approach to understand the workforce capacity and capability requirements across NHSBT, working in collaboration with teams in the People Directorate including the People and Culture Partners. A key element of this role will be to lead the management of significant employee data to/from our people systems to improve awareness of issues impacting NHSBTs workforce, decision making, efficiency and enhance controls and security.
Main duties of the job
Main duties of the job In this role you will be responsible for: Leading the development and delivery of strategic workforce planning approach and guidance, aligned to corporate and subsequent strategies developed within NHSBT, advising on national workforce issues, analysing workforce trends, providing insight, and developing national policy and strategic workforce plans. Establishing NHSBTs workforce sense making and horizon scanning function, and with their team and the People and Culture Partner to support the production of Strategic Workforce plans for functions across NHSBT. Leading and developing insights through the production of workforce reporting and data analytics to support and enable effective decision making and awareness of issues impacting NHSBTs workforce. Developing, evaluating, sourcing, and implementing long term plans for the delivery of future systems and processes to achieve improvements in employee experience, and enabling efficiencies and enhanced controls across the people operating model. Leading work to ensure NHSBT remains legally compliant with employment legislation including GDPR and meeting the requirement of Freedom of Information and Subject Access Requests. You will be required to travel and spend time away from base, which will involve working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior notice
