Job summary
In this role you will lead a team of enterprise and solution architects to identify and describe, using a formal methodology, current NHSBT business, data, capabilities, and technology landscape, vision, and roadmaps. This senior-level role will be responsible for the creation and implementation of the NHSBT architecture strategy and policy, and for the management and development of a complete architecture for the organisation. It will require a deep understanding of NHSBTs business, strategic and operational change needs, and the ability to convert these into well-defined and high-quality digital and technology change initiatives. The role will be integral to shaping NHSBTs future technology strategy. The post holder will represent DDTS (Digital, Data and Technology Services) on organisational wide governance groups and forums.
Main duties of the job
Your responsibilities will include: You will use your understanding of technology and NHSBTs key problems to help identify and drive innovation. You will create architecture visions to describe how technology will evolve to meet NHSBTs strategic needs. You will analyse NHSBTs strategic goals to identify the technology, data and capabilities needed to deliver these. You will identify and describe, using a formal methodology, current NHSBT business capabilities, data and technology architecture, and model this in an EA tool (iServer) You will be responsible for the creation and implementation of the NHSBT enterprise architecture strategy and policy, and for the management and development of a complete enterprise architecture for the organisation. You will require a deep understanding of NHSBTs business, strategic and operational change needs, and the ability to convert these into well-defined and high-quality technology change initiatives. You will be integral to shaping NHSBTs future technology strategy. You will convert user and business requirements into digital solutions solutions that best meet the user and business needs in a cost effective, efficient and timely manner. You will liaise closely with the other architects to make sure that best practices and design patterns are shared and followed across the development teams, and initiate and deliver relevant technology evaluations and recommendations.
