Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join an amazing organisation and great team to work with your peers to lead and manage the resolution of incidents and problems within the IT environment. You will use your people and communication skills to gather data from different sources, ensuring the capture of all the relevant information to ensure an adequate workaround or permanent fix is made available. You will be helping to increase efficiency across the Live Services team and enhance job satisfaction by maintaining policies and processes and educating the wider organisation. A team player who can also work independently, youll have excellent communication skills, and a customer-oriented approach. You will be instrumental is saving and improving peoples lives by being part of the team.
Main duties of the job
In this role you will be responsible for delivering Live Services Strategy to NHSBT including the delivery, documentation, and delivery of Problem Management services. Your responsibilities will include: Analysing Incident and Problem reports and statistics to determine trends, identify weak areas and propose resolutions to reduce the number of incidents and prevention of new problems. Negotiate with other DDTS functions, suppliers, and customers to acquire the resources necessary to achieve successful outcomes. Produce customer support services information - reporting to wider DDTS and customers for the Problem Management function. Act as a subject matter expert for the Problem Management Process and advise on best practice. Support colleagues in the IT SM Hub Team in relation to Change Management and Asset and Configuration Management in a Problem Management role. Build and enhance relationships within DDTS and the wider organisation to co-create benefit and deliver improvement opportunities. You will be required to travel and spend time away from base, which will involve working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior notice.
