Job summary
You will lead the work of a proactive team that will make a real contribution to saving costs for NHSBT and have a major impact on the Donor experience. It will be a great opportunity to work closely with venue suppliers, other Public Sector organisations, and help build lasting relationships. Your days will be varied from extraction and manipulation of data to interacting with all areas of the Blood Donation supply chain to encourage efficiencies and cost savings. You will join the organisation at a time of challenge but also great excitement, taking decisions and implementing changes that will further improve the life-saving services we provide. Your involvement in projects that deliver transformational activity within Clinical Services will directly contribute towards the strategic objectives of the organisation and will help to shape the future of blood transfusion and transplant services.
Main duties of the job
In this role, you will be responsible for manage Clinical Services projects to timely and successful conclusions Ensuring that intended project outcomes are in alignment with the business strategies, that all project budgets are managed effectively, and all operational needs are met. Managing specific projects, ensuring that they are managed to the highest professional standards and comply with all relevant internal and external standards, regulation and instructions. Deputising for the Programme Manager as required and supporting assurance of projects and programmes across the organisation. Supporting Clinical Services portfolio build planning and reporting processes. Managing more than one project at any given time at different stages in their lifecycle. Participating in the development and improvement of the NHSBT Portfolio, Programme and Project Management tools and methods. Maintaining all project artefacts, for example project/programme board update packs, project plans, runbooks, RAIDD logs.
