Job summary
NHS Blood and Transplant is looking for experienced Business Analysts to join the growing Design Team, working on both our most important strategic projects and smaller projects delivering targeted business & technical change. We have 4 vacancies: 2 supporting our Clinical Services Product Centre, 1 supporting our Organ and Tissue Donation and Transplantation Product Centre, and 1 supporting our central Design Team. The roles involve multiple simultaneous projects, dedicated focus for larger projects, supporting ongoing product development, or a combination of these. We support diverse services, from specialist biosciences to patient facing services. Within these diverse services, projects can provide bespoke business & technology changes to whole service design and change programmes. As a Business Analyst youll produce, contribute to, and maintain the following project artefacts (alongside others) as appropriate: Service Blueprints Process Maps Business Requirements Specifications (including as-is/to-be/gap analysis & NFRs) Functional Specifications Requirements Traceability Matrices and backlogs Business analysis approach and resource estimates; And contribute to these (and others) as appropriate: Assessment of new demands Business Change Plans Business Solution Assessments
Main duties of the job
You will provide a business analysis service to a variety of projects covering business and process change, solutions procurement, development and implementation You will be help determine which BA artefacts and deliverables will be appropriate to each context, and be responsible for delivering these to NHSBT standards You will work closely with Service Designers, User Researchers, Project Managers, Product Owners, Solution Architects, SMEs and key business stakeholders to ensure that business needs are identified and delivered solutions meet these needs You will build and maintain stakeholder relationships with customers across the business and third parties You will be responsible for managing your own workload and diary, including making priority calls and renegotiating deadlines within your own workspace. Management support will be available if required. Limited national travel, irregular hours and some overnight stays are necessary on an occasional basis in accordance with project needs, with prior notice.
