With the autonomy to drive and lead the improvement of service delivery you will exercise your abilities through implementing lean methodology and best practices. The difference youll make Youll take the lead on a range of complex, sensitive and often confidential work areas and implement effective communications across a wide range of forums. Combined with your expert root cause analysis skills youll develop effective organisation and a culture of continued performance. As well as a range of internal and external inspections, youll be expected to oversee team expenditure, formulate business continuity plans, deliver new HR strategies, and take full responsibility for all aspects of people management from recruitment to site orientation.
Main duties of the job
In this role you will provide guidance and support to the Plasma for Medicine (PFM) wider operations team, with a focus on performance and capability by interacting and collaborating with other stakeholders making sure that there are plans in place that support compliance and accurate record keeping at all times, to drive operational excellence. Your responsibilities will include:- Leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams and natural working parties whose purpose is to efficiently and safely collect PFM in line with service delivery targets. Undertaking the role and responsibilities of the Plasma designated MHRA Responsible Person (RP) as described in the Blood Safety and Quality Regulations 2005. Delivering a positive donor experience whilst maintaining donor and product safety and regulatory compliance. Achieving all key performance indicators, including delivery of donor experience, safety, efficiency through inspirational, effective leadership and performance management. Driving and leading service improvement / transformation to deliver high quality services with maximum efficiency. Continuously seeking opportunities to identify and incorporate best practice into service delivery. Managing the care and service standards to ensure they meet public expectations at all times and upholding the reputation of NHSBT against quality, risk and governance frameworks Maintaining clinical competence and provide shift cover when required
