Job summary

To lead safety within the region to protect the business interests, assets and well-being of Community Health Partnerships (CHP), its tenants, employees and the general public from harm and risk to their health, safety and welfare. The role is hybrid office/remote based but will require flexibility to travel to all CHP Regional sites and provide support to other regions as required

Main duties of the job

* H&FS Advisors will be the first point of call for all telephone and email enquiries from Centre Management Team members providing advice and guidance on relevant H&FS matters * Provide an efficient rolling programme of Fire Risk Assessment across the properties within the region to ensure that compliance is maintained * Support regional Property/Centre Management Team members to undertake, track and record H&S Statutory Compliance Audits on sites * H&FS Advisors will be the first point of call for all telephone and email enquiries from Centre Management Team members providing advice and guidance on relevant H&FS matters * Provide an efficient rolling programme of Fire Risk Assessment across the properties within the region to ensure that compliance is maintained * Support regional Property/Centre Management Team members to undertake, track and record H&S Statutory Compliance Audits on sites * Deliver safety training to employees across the company as necessary in line with the individual and corporate needs * Be the 'competent person', conveying outcomes and providing action plans to support works required. The nature and the frequency of audits/inspections are to be agreed with the Centre Management Team in line with the corporate audit programme * Assist the Head of Safety with the review of all aspects of the company's health and safety management arrangements (including policy organisation, planning, monitoring and audit) * To provide flexibility and support

They must be able to evidence they have undertaken FRA's on complex sites regularly over the last 3 years. To lead safety within the region to protect the business interests, assets and well-being of Community Health Partnerships (CHP), its tenants, employees and the general public from harm and risk to their health, safety and welfare. You will need to be self-motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team, efficiently manage the regional properties Fire Risk Assessment programme and provide support to other regions as required.   • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent e.g. the Certificate in Applied Health and Safety (NCRQ), held for a minimum of 3 years
  • * Hold a relevant qualification or ability to display competence in Fire Safety Management and the undertaking and reviewing of fire risk assessments (a minimum of NEBOSH Fire Certificate or equivalent)

Experience

Essential

  • * Broad experience and knowledge of operational health and safety management issues, enforcement procedures and policies
  • * Experience of managing accident reporting, including accident investigation, hazard identification and accident prevention
  • * A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • * Previous experience of undertaking Fire Risk Assessments in complex buildings
  • * Experience of working in a multi-site role
  • * Experience of report writing and developing, reviewing and implementing health and safety related policies and procedures
