Job summary
As Waste Auditor you'll conduct meticulous pre-acceptance audits of healthcare waste generated by our tenants. Following our company process and adhering to legal requirements, you'll assess waste segregation practices, packaging, and compliance. You'll play a crucial role in promoting sustainable waste management practices and ensuring compliance with legal requirements. To support the contracts management team by carrying out audits. You will be expected to liaise with the wider teams
Main duties of the job
* Responsible for undertaking healthcare waste customer pre-acceptance audits and producing reports in accordance with legal requirements, following CHP waste management policy & process. Keen attention to detail and adherence to guidelines to ensure effective waste management practices and compliance. * Review third-party healthcare waste customer pre-acceptance audits in accordance with legal requirements, following CHP process, and report on findings. * Provide advice, training, and waste technical assessments to healthcare waste customers, supporting waste segregation best practice in waste management and compliance. * Responsible for conducting audits of healthcare waste customer waste at CHP facilities, ensuring compliance with legal requirements. * Report compliance to the operational team and present findings to customers when requested. * Conduct duty of care audits at disposal vendor sites to ensure CHP compliance with duty of care regulations. Ensuring CHP's commitment to compliance and sustainability. * Support the administration of the waste pre-acceptance process, ensuring smooth operations. * Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation. * Verifies assets and liabilities by comparing items to documentation. * Completes audit workpapers by documenting audit tests and findings. * Maintain internal systems by updating audit programs and audit paperwork.
