Job summary

The Investments Team within CHP manage CHP's investments in NHS LIFT (Local Improvement Finance Trust) schemes. This is done through participation in the Boards of LIFT joint venture companies (LIFTCos) as directors, active management, monitoring and reporting of the investment portfolio. In addition, the team oversee CHP's End of Term project when the initial leases expire.

Main duties of the job

LIFTCo financial information collation and storage particularly financial models and the LIFTCo database Extraction and updating of projected CHP shareholder income from LIFTCo financial info (sub-debt payments, dividends/distributions, director fees) to inform CHP finance budgets) CHP sub-debt capital and interest, shareholder loan and director fee management and reporting (in conjunction with CHP Finance) Maintenance of CHP Investment Risk Register and Investment Data Set Investment Reporting on portfolio performance e.g. distribution status, IRRs, yields

Desirable

  • Financial modelling qualifications/course attended
  • Current understanding and broad knowledge of the NHS context including knowledge of the national agenda and the impact on CHP
  • Understanding of public sector participation in joint ventures
  • Experience of effective partnership working with other organisations

Experience

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Finance or investment qualification e.g. CFA, finance focused MBA, CISI, CCAB etc
  • Proven track record of organisational delivery against accountabilities and deadlines
  • Experience of work in a fast- paced environment
  • Knowledge of PPP/project finance principles
  • Experience of reviewing and producing complex Excel financial models
  • Experience of working with investors and funders and/or investment / fund management
  • Experience of investment management and reporting
