Job summary
The position of medical secretary is for three days a week, comprising of Monday, Wednesday & Thursday seven hours per day with thirty minute lunch break, the hours will be 9.30 - 5.
The role will involve all aspects of secretarial work, taking telephone queries from patients, and outside agencies. This is a very busy surgery looking after over 11000 patients, hence the need for an additional secretary to add to our team. We are a very friendly, helpful and flexible team.
Main duties of the job
The main duties will be - Typing/audio typing of referrals/letters, allocating test results to GPs, dealing with emails, registering patients on to the system, dealing with patient and outside agency queries, liaising with the medical examiner regarding the issue of death certificates. This is a very varied role within a very friendly and helpful team.
