Job summary
We are looking to recruit a motivated and compassionate GP to join our organised team for 4 to 6 sessions per week operating on a total triage model. There will be no OOH commitments with this role. This fixed term post may offer the potential for extension or permanency for the right individual. The post holder must be dedicated, responsible, and driven to contribute to the innovative and forward-thinking practice direction.
Main duties of the job
Routine surgeries consisting of prebooked and on the day slots (15minutes). Mix of face to face and telephone depending on patient preferences, offered at either Montgomery or the branch site in Newtown.
Home visits (maximum of 1 per routine day unless in extreme circumstances), requirement may vary on on-call days but there will be no prebooked patients on these days
Admin generated by your own appointments only.
Participation in practice audit and quality improvement activities.
Participation in nursing home ward rounds if appropriate for days of week worked.
Completion of some reports, to be negotiated.
No extended hours requirements.
About us
Montgomery Medical Practice is a rural, dispensing GP Practice with around 8100 patients situated on the border of Montgomeryshire/Shropshire. Despite its idyllic rural location Montgomery is within a short (30 minute) drive of Shrewsbury and an hour and a half from Birmingham. We have a multidisciplinary team that includes Physician Associates, Nurse Prescriber, Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistants.
We are a training practice. We use EMIS Web clinical system and Accurx.

- Evidence of annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate)

- Ability to travel between sites in a timely manner
- Current ALS certificate
- UK work permit (if required)
