Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) / Advanced Paramedic Practitioner (APP)
Park Surgery, Newport, Wales
3 to 4 sessions per week (sessional post)
Park Surgery is a forward-thinking, patient-centred GP practice serving a population of approximately 8,000 patients. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Paramedic Practitioner to join our supportive multidisciplinary team in a flexible sessional role.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to work autonomously while being part of a collaborative clinical team. You will provide high-quality care to patients presenting with acute, urgent, and on-the-day needs, using advanced clinical assessment and decision-making skills. You will also contribute to service development and continuous improvement within the practice.
Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities
Independently assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of presentations
Provide safe, evidence-based treatment and prescribing (if qualified)
Support same-day access and triage where appropriate
Work closely with GPs and the wider MDT to ensure seamless patient care
Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement
