Salary Available Upon Request
6 sessions a week
We are seeking a salaried GP to join a stable, well led practice where clinical time is protected and systems are designed to work with you, not against you.
This is an opportunity to work within a supportive partnership that values sensible workload, shared responsibility and modern ways of working. You will be part of a team that embraces innovation to improve flow, access and patient experience, allowing clinicians to focus on meaningful clinical care.
The role would suit a GP who enjoys collaborative working, appreciates good organisation and wants to be part of a practice that actively invests in doing things better for both patients and staff.
This fixed term post may offer the potential for extension, permanency or future partnership for the right individual, subject to mutual agreement and practice needs.
Full role details, sessions and supporting information will be shared as part of the application pack.
Main duties of the job
This is a 6 session per week salaried GP post within a well organised practice operating a total triage model. The role focuses on delivering high quality, pragmatic general practice within a supportive and experienced clinical team.
You will provide routine GP consultations, contribute to the on call rota on a fair and shared basis, and work collaboratively with pharmacy, nursing and wider MDT colleagues to manage demand appropriately. Sessions are structured to support continuity, clinical safety and sensible workload management.
You will report to the Senior Partner and the Practice Business Manager, with clear clinical and operational leadership in place. There is no formal training programme attached to this post and applicants should be confident working independently within UK general practice.
Our patient population reflects the local Ammanford area, with a largely older demographic and higher levels of deprivation. This brings a strong emphasis on long term conditions, complex needs and continuity of care, balanced by a team based approach and robust triage processes.
We are happy to consider GPs with specialist interests where these complement the needs of the practice and patient population.
Further details, including session structure and supporting documents, will be provided as part of the application pack.
