- Experience working as an independent GP in NHS primary care
- Competence in managing a full range of undifferentiated primary care presentations
- Experience in long term condition management (e.g. diabetes, respiratory, cardiovascular disease)
- Ability to manage acute, urgent and on the day clinical demand
- Experience with telephone, face to face and total triage consultation models
- Familiarity with electronic patient records and prescribing systems (e.g. EMIS Web or similar)
- Experience working within multidisciplinary primary care teams
- Ability to manage clinical administration safely and efficiently
- Experience in safeguarding adults and children as per role requirements
- Evidence of maintaining CPD and reflective practice through annual appraisal and revalidation processes
Desirable
- Previous experience working in Welsh GP practices and familiarity with local pathways and schemes
- Experience providing womens health services, including contraception, implants or coil fitting
- Experience supporting or supervising trainees, PAs or other MDT roles
- Experience working across multiple sites or branch practices
- Experience with chronic disease QI projects or clinical audits
- Experience delivering enhanced services or participating in cluster level work
- Experience using EMIS Web specifically
- Experience with total triage and digital consultation platforms

Qualifications
Essential
- A recognised primary medical qualification (MBBS, MBChB or GMC accepted equivalent)
- Full GMC registration with a current licence to practise
- Completion of GP specialty training and award of CCT in General Practice, or recognised equivalent (CEGPR / CESR route)
- Inclusion on the NHS Wales Medical Performers List
- Valid medical indemnity appropriate for GP work
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS check
- Mandatory training up to date, including safeguarding adults and children (usually Level 3) and basic life support
- Occupational health clearance, including Hep B immunisation status
Desirable
- Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRCOG)
- Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH)
- Letter of Competence in Subdermal Implants or Coil Fitting
- MRCGP (if not already held through training)
- Additional clinical diplomas such as DCH (Child Health) or Diploma in Dermatology
- Experience or additional training in chronic disease management (e.g. diabetes, respiratory, cardiovascular)
