Job Description: Medical Secretary (30 Hours per Week, MondayFriday)
Location: Morlais Health Centres, Merthyr TydfilHours: 30 hours per week across 5 days (Monday to Friday)

The successful candidate will join an experienced and supportive team of Medical Secretaries who play a vital role in the smooth running of the practice.
Main duties of the job
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive, accurate, and high-quality secretarial support to the clinical team.
Type referral letters, reports, and associated clinical documentation using audio dictation and other sources.
Liaise with external agencies including hospitals, community services, and other healthcare providers to ensure referrals are processed efficiently and promptly.
Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence in a timely and organised manner.
Prioritise workload effectively to meet deadlines and support the needs of the practice.
Assist with general administrative tasks as required by the secretarial team and practice management.

We are one of the largest GP practices in Wales serving over 25,500 patients across three sites. We have a great team of 7 partners, 10 salaried GPs, 6 nurses, 4 HCAs and a clinical pharmacist. We have first contact physio every day.
