Job summary

Due to the relocation of one of our GP's we are looking for long term Locum, for a rewarding role in a friendly well -established practice. We are a welcoming GMS practice with a strong commitment to delivering high quality healthcare to our 6595 patients. Main duties of the job

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated General Practitioner - GPto join our friendly North Wales practice on a long-term locum basis. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered primary care to our community, ensuring continuity and consistency across clinical and administrative responsibilities.

This role offers the stability of a long-term contract while maintaining the flexibility of locum work, allowing the GP to become an integral part of the existing multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care

  • Conduct comprehensive consultations, examinations, and diagnostic assessments.

  • Manage both acute and chronic conditions in line with best clinical practice.

  • Prescribe medication safely and appropriately.

  • Provide preventive health advice, including immunisations, screening, and lifestyle guidance.

  • Offer compassionate, patient-focused care across all age groups.

Administrative Duties

  • Process repeat and acute prescription requests efficiently.

  • Review and action incoming clinical correspondence and laboratory results.

  • Complete necessary documentation, including medical reports and death certificates.

  • Contribute to the smooth running of practice systems and processes.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with Practice Nurses and other allied health professionals.

  • Participate in regular clinical meetings and contribute to ongoing service improvement.
