Job summary
Hirwaun Medical Centre are seeking a salaried GP to join our vibrant practice of approximately 6500 patients. We are based in a splendid purpose-built building in Hirwaun, with excellent commuting links to Cardiff, Swansea and South Powys.
Our friendly and welcoming practice team comprises of 2 Partner GPs, a salaried GP and established and supportive Nursing and Administration teams. We are an Emis practice.
Well ideally be looking for 6 sessions over 5 days, but can be flexible.
The practice has a forward-thinking ethos and welcome those want to be part of that and be instrumental in moving the surgery and services forward.
Alongside our practice team, we are also well supported by LHB services such as pharmacists, pharmacy techs, counsellors and holistic therapy practitioners.
Main duties of the job
The Main duties of the job
The following are the core responsibilities of the General Practitioner. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels.
Perform clinical examinations of patients to assess, diagnose and monitor conditions
Carry out patient consultations at home and within the surgery
Monitor patients' conditions and wellbeing
Carry out clinical examinations
Diagnose and treat various illnesses/ailments
Liaise with other healthcare professionals (e.g., midwives, pharmacists, health visitors and psychiatrists) as part of multidisciplinary teams
