Long days and tightly packed appointment slots getting you down? We offer a better way to practice medicine, and we are looking for a GP who prioritises quality of life and community along with patient care.

We believe in personal development and education, so if you have any special interests, were listening! And we are a training practice too. We recently moved into a brand new multi-million-pound well-being centre where fifteen minute appointments are the norm. To keep it interesting we assist in two cottage hospitals.

If you love an active life, we walk, run and mountain-bike in the most breath-taking scenery. Secret wild-swimming spots abound, and the coast is just 15 minutes away. If fine arts or shopping are your thing, then Aberystwyth, Shrewsbury and Chester are all within reach. Add to that mix supportive schools, affordable housing and great coffee its all yours!

The buzzy and historic market town of Machynlleth is our base (everyone calls it Mach). We have 7,000 patients, a wonderful team and a friendly, appreciative community.

Main duties of the job

We area very happy team at DVH! This role will join 3 GP Partners and 3 other GPs, UCPs, Pharmacist and Nurses. Also supporting minor injuries.

Job responsibilities

This role will be on call 1 day a week, which is what all GPs do! The rest of the team, and on non on call calls, supports the on-call and carries out routine clinics.
