Job responsibilities

• Chronic disease management. Eg diabetes, asthma, COPD, hypertension

• Cervical cytology screening

• Childhood and adult immunsations and vaccinations

• wound care and dressings

• NHS Health checks and routine screening

• Contraception services. Eg injections

• Health promotion and lifestyle advice

• Infection control, safeguarding and health surveillance

Person Specification

Experience

Essential

• Registered Nurse - NMC pin
• Experience in a clinical nursing setting
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• competent in immunisations, cervical cytology and wound care
• able to work independently and part of a team

Desirable

• Experience in a GP practice or primary care setting
• Training in chronic disease management
• experience using EMIS

Qualifications

Essential

• Registered nurse - NMC registration
