Job summary
We are seeking a GP at any stage of their career (recently qualified) to work at the practice covering maternity for 6 session per week, potentially anywhere between 6-12 months from July 2025 although willing to wait until Aug/Sept for the right person.
We are a highly successful and well-staffed advanced training practice with list size of approx 18'000 patients. You would have the option of being involved with teaching and training. The practice has 2 sites based in Rhymney & New Tredegar, all easily commutable from Cardiff/Swansea/Brecon/Abergavenny. Ample on-site parking is provided. Great flexibility on working days and session timings. The team undertaken mid morning coffee break together and lunch every day which we feel is important.
Main duties of the job
In accordance with the practice rota, the post holder will be available to undertake a variety of duties including F2F, telephone triage, dealing with queries, results, making appropriate & timely referrals, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, however, we are going live with electronic prescribing in June. Occasionally undertake home visits although these are mainly undertaken by ANP & Registrars.
