We have a permanent vacancy for a Practice Nurse working 30-37.5 hours per week between the core hours of the practice, 8am to 6.30pm.
We are looking for someone who is friendly and an enthusiastic team player who can work as part of our experienced nursing team. Excellent communication is a requirement for the successful candidate. Willingness to learn is essential.
We have a practice population of 12,500 patients, based in the heart of Caerphilly. We are within easy access to the A470, M4, train and bus station. Car parking is free and on site

Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role as practice nurse are listed below:
Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by senior nursing staff and GPs
Chronic Disease Management - Diabetes, COPD, Asthma, Hypertension
HRT and Contraception reviews
Cytology
Wound care / ulcer care/Doppler
INR - anticoagulation monitoring
Removal of Sutures
Travel Clinic - immunisations
ECGs
Venepuncture
Routine immunisations and Childhood immunisations
Following agreed clinical protocols with referral to senior nurses or GPs as appropriate
