We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly, dedicated, clinical team.

The ideal candidate would be an experienced Practice Nurse working in General Practice, but we would be open to training the right candidate if they have no General Practice experience.

Main duties of the job

You will preferably have experience in chronic disease/case management including:

Diabetes

COPD

Asthma

Anticoagulation monitoring

Coronary Heart Disease

The following specific nursing skills/qualifications are highly desirable:

Cervical cytology

Childhood immunisations

INR Star and anticoagulation monitoring

Spirometry

Phlebotomy

Wound care

A modern skill mixed progressive team serving a population of around 8000 patients - with 2 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GP's, 3 ANP's, 1 Practice Nurse, 1 HCA & an excellent administration support team. We use Emis web and have access to Lexacom digital dictation. We have easy and fast access to M56, M53 and A55 so are easily accessible from Cheshire, Merseyside, Manchester and North Wales. We are uniquely localised between two nearest hospitals providing secondary care services - Wrexham, under NHS Wales and Chester under NHS England.
