We are seeking a Salaried GP, with a view to partnership if wanted, for 4 - 6 sessions a week, to join our friendly practice. We have a supportive culture, allow flexible start times and strive to ensure a good work life balance is maintained for all staff. A mixture of telephone and Face to face appointments totalling 27 per day.
We will offer a competitive salary based on BMA rate and model contract terms and conditions with 6 weeks annual leave, one weeks study leave, plus bank holidays (pro rata).
We are a GP Training Practice, located within a 20 minute commute from Cardiff, which prides itself on delivering a high quality of service within a pleasant and friendly workplace. We subscribe to the majority of enhanced services available in the locality. We are happy to help develop any special interests if desired. Opportunities for teaching available. There are no Nursing/Residential Homes in Abercynon.
We are located just off the A470 15 miles north of Cardiff. We currently have 3 enthusiastic partners and 3 salaried GPs supported by a Practice Nurse, Minor Illness Nurse, 2 HCAs and an experienced administration team. Our practice team are fully committed to providing the best possible health care service to the local community. Other team members include a cluster pharmacist, Mental Health Practitioner, OT, First Contact Physiotherapists Lifestyle advisor and well-being co-ordinator.
Main duties of the job
Conducting physical examinations, tests or procedures to diagnose patients
Maintaining accurate medical records for all patients
Making recommendations for lifestyle changes to improve the patients quality of life
Prescribing medication, treatment or therapy to patients
Explaining test results and medical procedures to patients
Consulting with other Doctors about the specialised needs of some patients
