We require a part time healthcare assistant at Winch Lane Surgery. The role will involve assisting the Nursing Team in all their clinical and administrative activities.
Main duties of the job
Assist in the administration of the Child Health/Immunisation Clinic.
Undertake other clinical activities according to written protocols, including:
Phlebotomy
Taking blood pressure
Urine testing
ECG's
New patient registration medicals
Dressings
Assisting in minor surgery
Ordering consumables
Foot examination
Influenza and pneumococcal immunisations
B12 injections
About us
We a large practice of 15,500 patients covering a wide area of Central Pembrokeshire. We are based in the County town of Haverfordwest and serve both the urban and surrounding rural population. We have 8 GP Partners who are supported by a wide MDT of 1 part time Salaried GP and 3 ANP's. We also are supported by Physiotherapists and a MH Counsellor within the Practice. The practice is a training practice supporting Registrars in the local scheme. We are a friendly and supportive Practice which aims to deliver high quality and consistent care to out patients.

However, this is guided by standard operating procedures and requires the individual to use a degree of initiative. The Health Care Assistant also provides support for other members of the Primary Care Team and contributes towards the coordination of team activities.
