Prescribing Clerk - Pencoed Medical Centre

Job summary
The prescribing clerk will be part of the team responsible for the accurate and timely processing of prescription enquiries for the patient population, liaising effectively with all relevant personnel. This role is not just about printing repeat prescriptions. The role requires someone who is administratively strong, who has determination, persistence and initiative, and who can work within clear guidelines in order to be able to deal with more complex enquiries and pull together sufficient evidence for the prescribers.

Duties can include, but are not limited to, administrative support for practice clinical pharmacist and GPs by dealing with patient prescription enquiries, reconciling medications as per discharge notes and letters, and liaising with other agencies (such as secondary care or prescribing hub) to facilitate prescribing enquiries
