Wye Dean Practice are looking for a friendly, professional team player to join our amazing Practice following the (semi) retirement of our lead nurse after 37 years service.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will have the experience and qualification to advise patients in health prevention, carrying out screening and early management of long term health conditions.
The successful candidate will must:
Be a certified Registered Nurse
Have a current registration with the NMC
Have experience in a range of nursing clinical skills

Wye Dean Practice is a single handed, rural dispensing practice in Tintern near Chepstow. We have a lead GP, regular locums, 2 practice nurses and a HCA as well as the reception/admin and dispensing teams. We are a well-established practice team and work together to provide an outstanding service to our practice population. Every member of the team is valued for their contribution.

Nursing duties include
Chronic Disease Management/Long Term Conditions within the clinic setting
Health Promotion
Cervical cytology & teaching breast awareness
Treatment of minor injuries
LES/DES/QOF related clinical and administrative work
Routine immunisations / Childhood immunisations
Travel health advice and vaccinations
Menopause and HRT consultations
Smoking Cessation
Flu, Pneumococcal, Shingles and Pertussis in Pregnancy vaccinations
Assisting GPs with minor surgery and coil fittings
Requesting pathology tests, for example urine culture, swabs
Any other delegated duties appropriate to the post
