Job summary
We have
an exciting opportunity for a Radiology Assistant at Buckinghamshire Healthcare
Trust. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team within the X-Ray
Department, supporting colleagues and providing excellent patient care. The
role includes assisting with CT overnight, ensuring safe, efficient, and
compassionate service for all patients.
Main duties of the job
As a
part of the Radiology team, you will provide support during the replacement of
our A&E CT scanner, assisting Radiographers who will be working
single-handed from the main X-Ray Department. You will work in CT assisting the
Radiographers, liaise with wards and A&E to arrange patient imaging, and
book porters using the online system. You will also assist with transferring
patients onto imaging tables when necessary, and ensure rooms are appropriately
re-stocked while completing general departmental duties such as emptying bins.

and examinations, adapting to unpredictable timetables as required.

attendance to ensure correct preparation, including fasting, hydration, cannula
insertion, INR status, or anticoagulation therapy.

To make and answer telephone queries from service users, providing
accurate information in a friendly and professional manner.

retrieval of relevant patient information, including blood results, infection
status, and radiation dose.

with all mandatory training requirements and Trust guidelines.

- Minimum 6 months experience as a Radiology Assistant (UK) (NHS/Private) within the last 2 years or currently studying Radiology (Student Radiologist) and completed a minimum of 12 weeks clinical placements.
