Banding: Band 7

Pay Rates: Day: £24.82 p/h, Night/Sat: £32.36 p/h & Sun/Hol: £39.71 p/h

Shift Patterns: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday & weekend working options available. Flexible working across 7 days, 09:00-18:00 weekdays & 10:00-18:00 weekends/Bank Holidays.

Main duties of the job

Recognize and promote the role of advocacy, autonomy, and self-empowerment in the care of young people and their families and ensure promotion of the recovery model within the team.

Enable joint delivery of specialist mental health education to Acute Trust staff to increase awareness, empower and enable, promote the specialist skills of child mental health professionals with the aim of improving the service user experience.

Work jointly with the Team Managers and ensure the links between CAMHS Mental Health Liaison and Community CAMHS teams are maintained and developed.

Assess all children and young people who attend Emergency Department or are on the Paediatric Ward and to make appropriate clinical decisions on the treatment and management.

Ensure the safe and effective delivery of high-quality health and social care to patients, utilizing the knowledge and skills of the staff whilst recognising and helping to manage their stress in this demanding area of work.
