Job responsibilities
Main responsibilities of this role include the following:
To communicate effectively with all disciplines involved in a patients care, both those from within the organisation and those outside to ensure effective multidisciplinary working. This will include discussion of patient care, patient progress and involvement in discharge planning.
To achieve and maintain a high standard of clinical intervention and professional development using evidence-based practice CPD and appraisal.
To be able to manage potentially stressful, upsetting, or emotional situations in an empathetic manner.
To undertake comprehensive assessments of patients including those with diverse or complex presentations.
To understand the underlying cause of difficulties with clients who have specific needs and utilise strategies for managing challenging behaviours and communication with supervision.
To be successful in applying for this role you will need:
- HCPC registration.
- A Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Experience of practice within community settings.
Complex therapy/care co-ordination/manual handling and posture management experience
