Job summary

Job Title: CAD Operator

Location: Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading RG1 5AN. (Role involves regular visits to multiple locations.)

Pay: £21.80 per hour

Hours:37.5 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday Friday 08.00-16.00

If so, then please read on Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust are looking for an experienced CAD Operator to join their existing team to Undertake ongoing correction and updating of all the Trusts AutoCAD drawings, covering plans for layouts, fire, spaces, asbestos and all types of services plans, as well as small projects of a varying nature.

Main duties of the job

Revitalise and Managethe Trusts AutoCAD drawings and space utilization information with continuous corrections, updates, and verification of services, physical layouts, occupancy, and fire information through site surveys.

Take Charge and Contributeto the MiCAD system by uploading and maintaining all Space Data, initiating changes to protocols and procedures, and providing system support to contractors and in-house staff.

Deliver and Collaborateto provide a CAD and Information service to Trust Departments and external third parties, and work directly with staff to confirm/verify layout/space/services information.

Showcase Flexibility and Prioritizationin managing fluctuating workloads, demonstrating flexibility in working hours, and taking on other suitable duties as requested by the Space Information Manager.

Perform and Managespace occupancy surveys and the Trusts temporary and promotional space.

  • Proficient with AutoCAD software, trained to British/UK standard with a range of experience of working with drawings from floor plans to schematics.
  • Proficient with CDM Regulations and ideally, knowledgeable of Estates legislation, regulations and HTMs/HBNs.
  • Experience in site surveying or surveying ability.
  • Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and an ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Good communication skills, well organised, attention to detail, and a flexible attitude to work and tasking is essential.
  • Anyone with experience working in a healthcare environment is at a distinct advantage.
