About the Trust

GMMH head office is based at Prestwich, Manchester and it is easily accessible via both car and public transport. There is onsite parking and additional visitor car parking (fees will apply). It has an onsite restaurant where staff are eligible for a discount. There is also a café where drinks and light snacks are available.

Main duties of the job

The Associate Director - AVP is an instrumental role to support the Chief Finance Officer to drive financial transformation within GMMH and across the wider system. Similarly, the post holder will support the Chief Finance Officer to drive recurrent Adding Value Efficiency Schemes (AVP previously Cost Improvement Programme (CIP) ) delivery across the organisation and the wider system.

The key areas of responsibility include:

Internal leadership to drive the Trust Cost Improvement Programme

Leadership and delivery of financial transformation and change programmes

External engagement in financial implications of major service change processes and the associated cost benefit analysis

Leading the development of innovative ways of working to support improving the financial position

The post holder will also have a key supporting role in the development of the following strategies; finance, commercial development and financial planning.
