Job Title: Laundry Shift Production Manager

Location: Nottingham City Hospital, Hucknall Road, NG5 1PB
Payrate: Band 5 £15.67 per hour per hour plus enhanced pay for weekends and bank holidays
Shifts: Monday - Friday with rotating Sundays - 06:00 to 14:00 and 12:00 to 19:00
Are you an experienced Laundry Shift Production Manager with a proven track record and a desire to work in public healthcare? Can you communicate effectively to stakeholders and meet their expectations whilst working to budgets, timeframes and within compliance frameworks?

Overview
We are looking for two Laundry Shift Production Managers to join our friendly team at Nottingham City Hospital. Working with the vision of delivering excellence in all we do, the post holder will facilitate the provision of the highest standards of patient care, thus enabling us to achieve the Trusts ambition to be the best Acute Teaching Hospital in the Country.
You will be specifically responsible for assisting the Laundry Production Manager in the operational delivery of linen production for patients, visitors and staff at NUH.
Main duties of the job
- General staff management, including maintenance of high standards of performance, providing leadership and motivation and encourage teamwork.
- Recruitment and selection of staff and efficient staff deployment.
- Ensure that all staff are trained to maintain safe standards of performance as per Trust Policies and Procedures and to ensure that adequate training records are kept.
- Liaise with the Laundry Production Manager to develop and implement policies and procedures where necessary to continually improve quality in all areas.
- Support unit managers with disciplinary and human resources matters conduct appraisal interviews and reviews with Team Leaders.
- Develop good lines of communication and relationships at all levels within your team and with multi-professional colleagues and customers.
- Assist the Laundry Production Manager in setting up, monitoring, and maintaining individual training and development portfolios for your team.
- Manage the production of rotas, covering arrangements and booking annual leave in line with Trust procedure.
- Ensure the accurate completion of E-rostering inputting for pay purposes.
