Job summary

As an Audiologist, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive audiological assessments, diagnostics, and rehabilitative services to our diverse patient population. Main duties of the job

Conducting audiological assessments, including pure tone audiometry, speech audiometry, and other specialized tests.Providing expert advice and counseling to patients regarding hearing loss, hearing aids, and communication strategies.Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop personalized treatment plans.Conducting hearing aid fittings, adjustments, and follow-up care.Participating in audiology research and quality improvement projects.

East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust have a range of general and specialist services they provide. 5,000 or so dedicated staff ensure our patients get the best care.

Hospitals which are part of the trust include Lister Hospital, Hertford County Hospital, New QEII Hospital and Mount Vernon Cancer Centre.

The Lister is a 566 general and acute bed district general hospital in Stevenage. It offers general and specialist hospital services for people across much of Hertfordshire and south Bedfordshire and provides a full range of medical and surgical specialties.

We have an opportunity for a Band 6 Audiologist to join the Team at East & North Herts to assist in the provision of an effective audiology service.

Woking as an audiologist will involve assisting and supervising and train audiology staff, ensuring service needs are met.

To ensure equipment is adequately maintained and calibrated in accordance to BSA standards

To carry out independent vestibular assessments and rehabilitation clinics

To be responsible for stock and safe keeping and use of stock as discussed

with the Chief Audiologists and Audiology Service Manager.

Skills/Responsibilities:

Knowledge of System1, Knowledge of using Aurical testing systems and Phonak hearing aids

perform balance clinics
