Job Title: Clinical Trail Pharmacist

Main duties of the job

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Lead and oversee delivery of pharmacy-related NIHR objectives and outputs, including establishing a structured programme of work and implementing fortnightly monitoring of progress, risks, and recovery actions.

  • Work in conjunction with the Lead Clinical Trials Pharmacist, R&I, Head of R&D, Chief Pharmacist, and other key stakeholders to design and implement a KPI dashboard that demonstrates safe, efficient, high-quality, and responsive pharmacy clinical trials services.

  • The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.

  • Strategic development :- Support the pharmacy department in the development of an innovative, coherent pharmacy clinical trials strategy, aligned to Pharmacy, Research & Innovation, Trust, and national priorities (including NIHR and regulatory expectations) working closely with R&I.
  • Performance management and assurance :- Work in conjunction with the Lead Clinical Trials Pharmacist, R&I, Head of R&D, Chief Pharmacist, and other key stakeholders to design and implement a KPI dashboard that demonstrates safe, efficient, high-quality, and responsive pharmacy clinical trials services.
  • Inspection readiness and regulatory assurance:- Lead oversight and review of pharmacy readiness for GCP and regulatory inspections, including gap analysis, development of improvement actions, and support to teams to strengthen governance, documentation, and operational compliance.
  • Senior professional leadership :- Provide expert professional advice to pharmacy and R&I leadership on clinical trials pharmacy services, risk management, and service improvement, acting as a visible senior leader during this short-term period of focus and recovery.

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.

What you'll need:

  • Pharmacy degree
  • 5 years or more experience as a General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC) Registered Pharmacist
  • Good Clinical Practice
  • Experience in Clinical Trials
  • Knowledge of Clinical trail regulations
