Job summary

  • To support and assist the ward team members in the provision of a high standard of patient care, including the promotion of physical, mental and emotional wellbeing to the patient.
  • To be an effective member of the ward Multi Disciplinary Team (MDT) carrying out assigned tasks involving direct and indirect care provision to patients under the supervision and guidance of senior staff members.
  • The HCA role will work across a twenty four hour/seven day week period within the ward setting to deliver direct personal/nursing care to patients.

Main duties of the job

  • To support and assist the ward team members in the provision of a high standard of patient care over a 24 hour period.
  • To be an effective member of the Multi Disciplinary team working in close liaison with that team to promote the rehabilitation ethos of the ward
  • To undertake tasks on the ward of a non clinical nature which contribute to the smooth running and general management of the ward

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.

What you'll need:

A minimum of 6 months experience in a community environment within the last 2 years , depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills. Please note the experience will need to be within the UK private hospital or NHS trust.
