Job summary
We
are seeking Registered Nurses and/or Operating department practitioners to join
our Cardiac paediatric and adult congenital theatre team. Prior cardiac
paediatric and adult congenital scrub experience is essential.
Main duties of the job
The
service runs from Monday to Friday and on a 24/7 basis to provide emergency
cover out of hours. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to
practice in a complex and demanding speciality, offering unique experience of
congenital heart conditions in both paediatric and adult congenital patients.

Provide skilled specialist assistance in the
delivery of direct and indirect patient care throughout the Operating
Department.
Participate as an integral member of the theatre
Scrub team, covering a full range of shifts, including earlies, lates, nights
and weekends.
Act as the patient advocate and maintain high
standards of patient care, in line with NMC or HCPC code of conduct.
Be involved in supporting and mentoring students
and new staff as appropriate.

- Understanding of personal accountability.
- Aptitude for caring for the anaesthetised and/or acutely unwell patient.
