Job summary

Main duties of the job

Manage a workload of patients undergoing radiotherapy ensuring the safe and

competent use of radiation and the highest standard of patient care, ensuring all

efficiency targets are met. To ensure the RTSM is made aware of any patients who

breach activity targets.

Provide advice regarding management of a range of complex radiotherapy related

situations.

Report incidents and faults to appropriate staff immediately. To ensure all machine

faults are logged appropriately.

Deputise for the Band 7 staff as required.

Work in all areas of the department to maintain all round clinical knowledge andawareness.
