What you can add:
- The post holder will deliver flu and Covid-19 vaccinations for the
Trust, coordinating with Occupational Health.
The post holder will be work on site in pop up clinics.
- This post calls for a motivated individual
with excellent communication skills who is able to
work with minimal supervision,
using their initiative but working closely
with the Head of Occupational Health and peer vaccinators.
- The post holder will be responsible for all aspects of the clinical
delivery of vaccination including following patient group directives and
working within NMC guidelines as a registered nurse.
- The flu and Covid-19 nurses will act as a source of expert advice, to
support the vaccination campaign and enable and facilitate change to deliver
vaccines effectively within UKHSA standards.
- To keep accurate and contemporaneous records in accordance with Trust
policies and procedures.
- Ensure that information is available to provide staff with an informed
choice and for obtaining consent prior to delivering the immunisations in line
with Group Directives and Professional Guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with the
medicines management standards throughout the process including awareness of
contraindications to vaccination.
- To provide and seek specialist advice where required in relation to
the influenza vaccination (Head of Occupational Health /UKHSA etc).
- To ensure compliance with infection control policy and procedures
- To work within Trust policies, procedures, and guidelines and where
appropriate, assist with the development of these documents in line with
changes best practice.
The role will involve, but not be limited to you
performing the above.
What you'll need:
- A minimum of 12 months paid experience as a Registered Nurse.
General
experience of working within multi-agency Policies, Protocols and Guidelines.
Previously delivered immunisation schedules/ influenza immunistaions.
Previous experience of delivering vaccination
programme.
Evidence of maintaining
personal competencies and professional development
