Ward/Dept: Occupational therapy Watford

Hours: Full time Up to 37.5 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday Friday, 8-4pm or 8.15-4.15pm

Pay Rates Day: £19.01

West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, to join the well-established therapy team in the Inpatient therapy department at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust as part of #TeamWestHerts at Watford Hospital.

This is a full time post focusing on excellent care in a fast paced environment, and the trust would welcome existing Band 6 Occupational therapists who are looking to specialise in Medical care and those experienced Band 5s who are looking for the next step in their career.

Clinically manage a caseload, completing detailed assessment & treatments in medical specialities, with patients who have complex needs including neurology & falls management.

Discharge planning skills are key to this post, and you will need to be able to make timely decisions regarding transfer to community services and managing referrals to specialist units.
