Main duties of the job
South
London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, rated Good in their most recent CQC
report, provides substance misuse services as well as the widest range of NHS
mental health services in the UK. The Trust works across hospital sites and
within the local community, striving to be a leader in improving health and
wellbeing locally, nationally and globally. It is the only mental health
Trust in the UK to have its own biomedical research centre. Internationally,
the Trust works with Macani Medical Centre, an Abu Dhabi based organisation, to
bring quality health care to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Operating across south London, staff can benefit from excellent transport

Working
within the Intake Team, you will offer initial and psychiatric assessments.
This service provides therapeutic assessments, brief Cognitive Behavioural
Therapy (CBT) informed approaches, brief solution focus therapy, Dialectical
Behavioural Therapy (DBT) informed intervention and behavioural work with
mindfulness. You will see any young person who has presented to a local A&E
with an identified mental health difficulty. Receiving referrals from A&E,
both adult and paediatric emergency departments, and from paediatric wards in
the case of those who have been admitted overnight.

majority of this will need to be independently.

- Essential Requirements
- Have a professional qualification in Mental Health Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Family Therapy, Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy, Art Therapy, Drama Therapy or equivalent with related CAMHS Experience.
- Have a current registration with the appropriate registration body (Nursing and Midwifery Council, Social Work England or Health and Care Professions Council).
- This is a combination role; therefore, you must be able to see children in service, a hybrid working model is offered, 3 days minimum in service for the full-time post.
- Have the suitable experience in a mental health setting or have at least 3 years of post-qualifying experience within the mental health field.
In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of:
