Job summary

  • To clean in all areas of the clinic, clinical and non-clinical areas.
  • To use cleaning materials and equipment as instructed and trained by your line manager.

Job description

Job responsibilities

1. Complies with instruction received from their line manager.

2. Ensuring proper standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained at a high standard within Facilities services.

3. To be aware of and able to practice the Trusts policies and procedures pertaining to Fire, Health and Safety, First Aid, Security, untoward incidents in general and to the specific working location in particular.

4. To attend Mandatory and Statuary training sessions as required.

5. To have an understanding of C.O.S.H.H and to adhere to the guidelines.

6. Report all incidents/accidents to your line manager and the risk team.

7. Maintain good communications and co-operation with all departments.

8. To correctly use and maintain Trust equipment reporting any malfunctions and concerns to your line manager.

9. Attend regular 121s with your line manager as necessary.

10. To ensure all stock levels are maintained to replenish supplies.

11. To request cleaning or equipment supplies as and when required from your Assistant Facilities Officer or Facilities Management team.

12. To work as a member of the Facilities Team, striving to achieve and maintain high standard within the clinic.

13. To work in all areas of the clinic as requested by your line manager.

14. Report all sightings of pests to your line manager.

15. To sign in and out at the commencement and end of each shift.

16. To understand the importance of client confidentiality.

17. To adhere to the process of the cleaning schedules and tick sheets.

18. To maintain and respect cleaning equipment.

19. To be aware of the security within the premises.

20. To change and hang curtains as and when required within clinical areas and bathrooms.

21. To remove black waste and clinical waste within the clinic and dispose of in the correct storage area/s.

22. To move stores around the clinic as and when required.

23. To work at other clinics and community hospitals within facilities portfolio as and when required.

24. To operate and use all machinery to specified guidelines.

25. Any other duties as may be delegated by your line manager.
