Job summary

NHS Professionals are recruiting for a temporary Graphic Designer to support East Suffolk & North Essex Foundation Trust until the end of April 2024 (subject to review.)

Please note this is a Bank position and not a permanent contract through the NHS Trust.

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 - 16:00.

Main duties of the job

Primarily producing high quality clinical documentation (forms) but also leaflets, posters and other materials using industry-standard page layout, illustration and photo-editing software (Adobe Creative Cloud).

Being a key member of the project as ESNEFT standardises its paper clinical forms ahead of an Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system being launched, i.e attending meetings, contributing to possible process changes to facilitate robust production and governance of paper clinical forms.

Working closely with the senior graphic designer on the review, implementation and production programme for standardised paper clinical forms.

Maintaining consistency and comparability of documentation.

Being mindful of the consequences for the Trust of producing inaccurate documents and potential areas for litigation.

Engaging with Trust colleagues at all levels to discuss their design and production requirements and develop design concepts.

Taking responsibility for the organisation of design projects, timescales and coordinating team members.

Contributing to changes in work practices, policies and procedures, and assisting in their local implementation.

Deciding the most appropriate graphic technique to best achieve the service users desired outcome from the options available.

Desirable

  • Postgraduate qualification eg IMI.

Experience

  • At least 5 years working in a design environment.

  • Experience of developing public information materials.

Knowledge
