Job summary

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust are currently seeking experienced Pharmacy Support workers and Pharmacy Technicians to provide a high quality, responsive service for patients in inpatient settings within the Buckinghamshire areas which include;

Stoke Mandeville Hospital, HP21 8AL

High Wycombe Hospital, HP11 2TT

Amersham Hospital, HP7 0JD

Main duties of the job

We have various roles depending on your experience and career goals and cover the three areas of Pharmacy: Dispensary, Procurement & Distribution and Aseptics / Technical Services.

Pharmacy Support workers =

receiving, storing and issuing medicines

Working in a busy stores and distributions area dealing with suppliers and delivery personnel

To dispense and label for inpatients and outpatients using a pharmacy computer system.

stock shelves in the Pharmacy department ensuring that stock is kept in the correct place and used in rotation

Pharmacy Technicians =

will assist in the management, development and delivery of high quality modern, patient centred and cost-effective pharmacy service.

supporting medicines optimisation to patients on a variety of our specialist wards

Their stroke service is one of the best in the region, and are a centre for burns and plastics, along with a world famous National Spinal Injuries Centre.
